Upcoming classical Christmas concert from EUSO

Emma Pidsley, EUSO’s publicity officer, tells us about their exciting upcoming concert…

If you think Classical music is boring, then think again and let Exeter University Symphony Orchestra change your mind! Our Winter concert promises to be a great evening to finish off the term.

We are excited to be playing the Beethoven violin Concerto in D with Ofer Falk, a professional violinist from the nationally renowned Allegri Quartet.

We are also playing a brand new piece written by composer Peter Nickoll. The contemporary “Commuter” will set an electric atmosphere with its jazzy rhythms.

Dvorak’s Symphony No.9 “From the New World” will end the concert with a bang, a beautiful and brilliantly moody piece with a film score feel.

This is a great chance to hear a good quality orchestra and an amazing soloist play some epic music. With refreshments in the interval as well, who could resist!
