Calling all freshers! Welcome to Exeter! I’m sure you all have plans to buckle down and work your hardest in the first few weeks on your new degrees… But there’s nothing to stop you from enjoying the sights as you go!
This leads me on to the main topic… Pubs. Everyone likes a good pub, and Exeter is filled with them. But if someone was to ask me which were my favourites, well, only a few come to mind.
Step in, Firehouse.
Rustic. Atmospheric. A good night out.
The Old Firehouse should without a doubt be one of the first stops on your fresher’s tours of the city. There’s something about its candlelit ambience that is incredibly compelling, and what with the home-brew ciders and ales at their disposal, you can be sure that you’re in for an enjoyable experience.
But let us not forget what makes Firehouse even more famous – its legendary pizzas. Wallet friendly pizzas, 35cm of intense flavour that leaves you wanting more, even if you have not got any more space. The questions is, will you be sharing, or will you attempt the ‘Firehouse Challenge’ and conquer one solo?
So do not forget, in between your club nights, the Old Firehouse will welcome you with open arms (filled with quality food and drink).
